[MY TESTER VERSION] Fun Bobby Backpack

Backpack | Handmade | Handmade Bag | Fun Bobby Backpack

The latest functional and stylish backpacks design from  Sincerely, Jen Pattern Company just released, named Fun Bobby Backpack. I am honored that I am in her tester group. So happy to be there!

Fun Bobby Backpack pattern has a unique design. It will become your reliable bag in everyday life and during a day traveling.

I really enjoy did this project. I made this tester version in cotton canvas for the exterior with a Snoopy theme and cotton for the interior. This bag has a zippered big pocket on the front and a zippered pocket in the back (perfect to put the important things that need quick access). And, I used webbing for the strap.

This bag also has a big opened pocket on each side that enough for the bottle. For interior part also have opened slip pockets and zippered pocket.

And this bag has no binding or drops in this bag but a birthing technique through the zippered pocket. This pattern also comes with a video tutorial, so easy to follow, the instructions also very clear.

Full length sews along videos are included!  The links can be found on page 17 of the pattern.

Her pattern has clear instructions, and well written as well. That’s why it’s easy to follow. This time she comes up with a backpack style, and it called THE MERAKI Backpack. Backside Bag
Snap button on the side. But the pattern asks to use a magnetic snap. I used the snap button to get inspiration!
Exterior Hidden Pocket

As an amateur bag maker, the most time-consuming thing for me is choosing the right fabric in the right mood 😉 This time for Meraki, I chose Art Gallery Fabrics On-Lines for the main exterior, and also faux leather top grain dark brown for the flap and base. For the interior, I used linen fabric. The interfacings that I used were fusible woven and sew in foam to make it a sturdy look.
#The AGF fabric I bought here.

The Meraki going out with my daughter 😉
Base part

As you see on the base part, I did not use feet on it. But in the pattern you will see there is an instruction to put the feet.

Inside has enough roomy ,aim part, 1 zipper pocket and 2 slip pockets.
Front exterior hidden zipper pocket

This Meraki backpack is easy to make for sure, and it turns out beautiful and yet functional!

I love it and hope you all love it too!
